Although I have only worked at freshwaters academy for 2 years, I can honestly say that it is the best educational environment I have ever worked in. The staff are an inspiration and the support we give each other is phenomenal. And the children are so friendly, polite and always aspire to achieve their goals. 

I have worked in schools, nursery’s and college supporting not only SEN children but all children for around 8 years and I still absolutely love it. 

I will never let a child think they can’t do something, no matter how big or small, because I believe that every child can do anything they want to. Sometimes we just need to find a different way for them to achieve their goal and when they do, the reward for me, is seeing their faces light up with pride. Everyday is different and that suits me to a tee, the staff and children always leave me with a huge smile on my face. 

You know the saying “don’t work with children or animals” but I wouldn’t have it any other way. 

Outside of school, I enjoy weight lifting and HiiT training. It’s good to get your endorphins going and love finding new healthy recipes to try out. 

I have 3 children that I love to cook with and also enjoy our little family days out.
