Year 2 - Anansi Spider & Huckleberry Finn
Reading – In class we are going to focus on “Winnie The Pooh” we are going to retelling the story, we shall also be reading out parts in groups, as well as individually to the rest of the class.
As writers - We are going to be looking at who is Winnie The Pooh, we shall be describing his friends, we shall be writing about the day in the life of Pooh and we will be looking at the features of a newspaper and what kinds of information would be in one.
In Maths- In Maths we shall be looking at statistics including, tables, graphs and pictograms. We shall be then looking at position and direction. Children will be learning how to interpret information. Children will also be describing movement. There will be an opportunity for lots of practical tasks.

Science- We are going to be looking at Micro habitats linked to animals and plants as well as looking closely at honey and how and why it is made. We will explore the different types of bees and why there are many varieties of bee. We shall be exploring around the school finding other habitats and looking at what makes it a habitat.

Geography –. We shall be finding out about the equator, different land features, The country of Ecuador, its active volcano and the different human and physical features.

Art – We are going to be creating portraits of Winnie The Pooh.
In Religious Education –Children will be finding out who God is to Muslims.
PSHE – In Jigsaw we shall be looking Relationship and Sex Education.
